What every article gets

The skill writes in this order, every time. Articles usually land at 2,000–2,800 words — complete for the searcher, never padded.

1MetaMeta title (at most 60 characters, keyword near the front), meta description (120–155 characters, active voice, a concrete benefit), URL slug (at most 80 characters).
2H1Exactly one, close to the keyword, matching what the article delivers.
3Intro2 short paragraphs. Answer the core question right away and include at least 2 sourced figures, each linked to its source.

Ask in plain words. The skill starts when a request is about writing an SEO article.

Example

Write an SEO article for the keyword “how to start a vegetable garden”. Audience: beginners in the UK. Link to /shop/seeds and /guides/soil.

Assumption: informational intent, UK English, beginner level.
Meta title, description and slug — within the limits.
Intro with two sourced figures, then a table of contents.
Main sections with sub-sections, a comparison table, key takeaways.
Action plan, FAQ, sources — and the internal links it used.

The skill ships with the rules from makeseo’s SEO knowledge base — the same ones our own articles are written by — and checks every article against them. The writing rules it follows most closely:

Answer firstPut the core answer in the first one or two paragraphs, then go into detail. Write for people who scan.
Short paragraphs, frequent subheadingsOne idea per paragraph, two to four sentences each, and a meaningful subheading every 150–300 words.
A clean heading structureUse H2 for main sections and H3 for points within them, without skipping levels. Headings describe content, not design.
Make content easy to extractWrite definitions as crisp sentences, processes as numbered lists and comparisons as tables.
Links inside the text, spread outPlace internal links in the body text (not just footer or sidebar), spread across the whole article, with descriptive anchor text.
